Neutrality

Voters Revolt takes no position either for or against the aims of any of the campaigns listed on this site.  Conversely, inclusion in the list of campaigns  does not imply that a campaign shares the views of any other campaign or of the originators of Voters Revolt, the creators of this website.  Our only common interest is to help restore democracy in the UK.

The list will not include political parties which have an MP or MEP, or are represented in a devolved parliament or assembly, or which campaign widely at elections. No other legal UK campaign will be excluded from the list.

Voters Revolt is a concept that needs the support of millions of UK voters, of all shades of political, religious and philosophical opinion.  It is concerned only with the restoration of effective representative democracy. 

We must not risk putting off any potential supporters by expressing or seeming to imply sympathy with any view on any other issue.  Every issue by definition has at least two sides.  Voters Revolt has to embrace adherents of every side of every issue.  We need the support, for example, of eurosceptics as well as europhiles and both pro- and anti-hunting groups. 

The creators of this website feel strongly about democracy.  We also have views about many other matters.  We have tried hard to avoid letting our own views show on any subject other than democracy.  Our views are irrelevant to the universal nature of Voters Revolt.

We have not given a long list of "useful links" to other sites, other than the campaign list, to avoid any risk of giving the impression of bias.  Two exceptions, however, are organisations that are strictly politically impartial: the Electoral Reform Society and Elections UK Ltd.  These contain much helpful information about the electoral process.
